Kevin Bermea, MD

The objective of the International Medical Graduate (IMG) committee is to support and advocate for foreign-trained physician postdocs who are seeking to practice medicine in the United States.

​

We aim to:

  • Assist IMGs navigate the complex process of medical residency by providing guidance on application and interview process. 

  • Provide information and resources on other career resources if they want to pursue a non-clinical career.  

  • Offer opportunities for IMGs to enhance their professional development, leadership skills, and career advancement prospects through workshops, conferences, and other educational initiatives.

  • Support IMGs in adapting to the cultural and professional norms of the healthcare system, by providing guidance on communication, ethics, and professionalism

  • Facilitate connections and networking opportunities among IMGs, provide mentorship, peer support, and resources to help them navigate the challenges of transitioning to medical practice.

  • Address any barriers or challenges they may face in the pursuit of medical residency.
